A blazing orange colored feline rushed into camp like a scared rabbit, his pelt maybe just a flash to any living creature standing by. His fur was bristled out making the broad-shouldered feline appear twice his size. He had been running for atleast half the forest by the time he reached the sanchtuary of camp. It was unclear to why the tom was in such a frezy however.
Torchtrouble was panting like a mut when he finally came to a stop near the medicine cats' den. His eyes were wide in exhaustion. ".....got......away...." The deputy managed to wheeze out to no one in particular as he finally collasped on the damp grass, the breath flowing out of him like a running stream.
thought I was done for.... Torchtrouble thought as he rolled over, finally able to rest after his long run through the RiverClan hunting marshes. His strong muscles under-lying his sleek fur were aparent as he let out a long stretch, shuddering as his breaths became normal once more. stupid chip- The tom began to think, but his thoughts were cut off by the sounds of a cat heading toward his direction.
The deputy turned his head slightly, a face showing curioiusity and confusion dappled his features. He was greeted by a pair of furry paws. His ears flicked as his orange gaze snapped upward, to see who had come out to see the commotion that was Torchtrouble.

``ripplesheen!````````````````````````````````` The lithe form of the medicine cat padded toward her troublesome deputy. ”Torchtrouble, I hope you don’t need me again!" she purred, plucking one picayune paw from the ground to gentle poke him in the ribs. ”I swear, you end up needing more help then the rest of the Clan combined!” Her lighthearted purr showed that she was just kidding around.
She started to check him anyway, always the cautious one; she had learned the hard way that caution was never unadvisable. She gently poked him with her muzzle, listening carefully for any noises that would indicate pain. She heard none. After completing her check to her standards, she nodded and sat beside him, tail curling around her paws.
”So tell me, Torchtrouble, what exactly did you get into this time?” she asked playfully. It seemed that her deputy was always getting in to some kind of mess, and she was always eager to hear what he had done. She could be even more curious than a kit just out of the nursery. She tilted her head to the side, waiting impatiently for his story.

Torchtrouble figured it would be the always handy she-cat, Ripplesheen. ah, medicine cat always ready to cure anyone's troubles. the tom thought as he stared at the black she-cat with a look of slyness as she spoke to him softly.
He let out a slight purr of thoughtfulness and shrugged his shoulders. "I'll always need you Ripplesheen. You are the only medicine cat around here..." He meowed, voice light with content. He let out a chuckle at her small joke. yeah, wish that was possible... Torchtrouble pondered as he thought of the needs of the clan breifly. With StarClan being silent, and all these crazys freaking out, it's a wonder that all chaous hasn't broken loose yet!
His thoughts went back to the she-cat instantly when he felt the warm breath and feel of a maw poking at his sides. A small smile spread across the deputy's face as she checked him over. Not that he needed any of course, he had only run about a mile, so all he really needed was some water. But with Ripplesheen, Torchtrouble didn't mind at all that she made the okay.
Because it sure was okay with this tom!
His eyes glittered in good humor as he scrambled to his paws quickly when she had finished. His paws tingling slightly from the attention the pretty sleek feline gave him. It made him all warm inside. "Just a couple of nosy chipmunks interupting my hunt."He informed her, his voice drawing out in his joking manner."You won't believe me but..." He started, voice trailing off into a soft whisper. He moved closer to Ripplesheen, fur brushing hers ever so gently as he leaned over to whisper in her ear. They were maybe alittle too close for standards, but Torchtrouble didn't seem to mind it. "The chipmunks were from ThunderClan territory, they were spys, you see. And they were intarigating, and I snuck up on them to just see what was up. And they spotted me."He whispered in a rushed and excited tone. His tail flicked as he went on. "There were about a dozen of them. One jumped at me, so I swatted it away, but then more tackled me from the side! It was a frenzy I tell you! They were mad!" His voice rose slightly but then dimmed. "When it started geting too rough. I had to get outta there. I ran all the way back here, not stoping, still hearing their angry little squeaks and sqabbles behind me."He finally finished, a toothy grin smothered on his broad face as he pulled away.
"True story. Had to be there." He stated in a truthful meow, that only Torchtrouble could pull off without breaking a face. He waited calmly for Ripplesheen to respond, eyes glued to her pale ones expectantly.

``ripplesheen!````````````````````````````````` Ripplesheen purred in amusement at Torchtrouble’s spy chipmunk story. He was extremely amusing at times; well, actually, make that most of the time. ”I’ll bet those chipmunks are gone now, after battling our fierce deputy.” she purred, rolling her eyes.
She shifted uncomfortably; Torchtrouble was in extremely close proximity to the medicine cat, and that made her nervous. It bordered on improper; and seeing the medicine cat and the deputy breaking a rule wasn’t a good way to keep the Clan from utter chaos.
”Wait until you hear my latest story!” she purred. ”I was out trying to collect herbs after those nosy kits ate my thyme. I was out by the river, under a bush, when a raccoon jumped across the stepping stones!” She paused, darting her eyes about as if checking for eavesdroppers. Her lilting voice dropped even lower. ”Then it was looking around, checking for somebody. It didn’t see me. Then it went right along the path to camp!”
She moved to whisper in his ear, her breath tickling his face. ”I had to chase it, you know, get it away from the cats at camp. Imagine my surprise when the raccoon just headed back toward the river, looking satisfied. I think it was a friend of your chipmunks. True story, though you really had to be there.” she finished, batting playfully at Torchtrouble.
”It sounds like ThunderClan might have a whole league of animal spies after us. I suppose it’s up to us to put a stop to them.” she said dramatically.
She sat back down, grooming her paw, her eyes twinkling with mischief. I wonder if he’s given any thought to the matter of apprentices… she thought, eyes getting a faraway glow in them. She snapped back to reality when Torchtrouble’s piercing gaze hit her.
“Have you thought about maybe taking another apprentice?” she asked curiously, her head titled to the side. ”Because I was thinking of finding a kit to train. Then there will be two medicine cats to listen to your exciting adventures.”
She sat silently, allowing him to ponder the question, icy sapphire eyes boring into his fiery pelt.

Torchtrouble listened intently to the medicine cats' story. He let out mrrow of laughter at how she went along with the small game. His tail twitched as he noted how closely he had moved toward the she-cat. hope no one saw that... The deputy's eyes were the only thing that gave away his mischievous actions toward the medicine cat.
He drew back slightly, ears drooping down and then up as he listened on to Ripplesheen, barely giving thought to the question. "Not really, I mean...." He trailed off. "The last apprentice I mentored ran off to be a rogue. Sooo, I don't really want that to happen to another." He meowed, his voice half-serous and half showing his amusement of the thought. "Besides, I'm far to busy..." He added with a short shrug, his tone showing some doubtfulness, but it was an answer, so that was that. His far-off eyes became curious as she made her next comment, a small smirk showed on his face as he pondered this.
He blinked in thought, "Another medicine cat? But you do your job so well Ripplesheen, I wouldn't want any other cat doing what you do; it wouldn't be as...interesting. As the way you do it." He purred, eyes glittering as he stared at the black she-cat. His comment seemed innocent enough, but the odd-natured deputy had his record of making moves on she-cats, even if that she-cat wasn't allowed to show the same sort of emotions.
He stared at her a few moments longer, before turning away to check if the border patrol he sent out earlier had returned. It was almost sun-high. His orange gaze trailed back to Ripplesheen's, face showing calmness.

Duskstar was sitting by the river, enjoying a lovely snack of fish. The beautiful creature's soft golden scales dotted her mouth and chest, but it's scent couldn't over power her own, the leader always smelled like either Jasmine or Juniper. She sniffed, then coughed, the only hing she could smell was trouble, unable to stand the foul stench anymore she crept back into the heart of the Clan. Duskstar had no idea what was going on, her vision was clouded and when she was dreaming, no hints, no messages, not even a little conversation, the Starclan warriors had not sent her a single thing in almost a month. It was enough to drive the obsidian beauty wild.
///
Laying in the shade of a Willow tree she let her mind wander, the brutal beating would continue as the clashing clans where sent spiraling out of control and into the abyss. her unusual colored eyes held anxiety, and that was a bad thing for her, she was supposed to relax. With a growl she sat up and made her way to the Medicine cat's den, stopping at the mouth of the den. "Ripplesheen, do you have any Chamomile?" Duskstar asked, a peculiar tone was used in her voice, it was confused, anxious and fear.
///
She waited patiently and then padded into the den, and cleared her throat. their proximity was almost inappropriate and she chuckled softly "What's all this now?" She purred in a mock anger tone, then smiled, her scar by her eye was visible, when she smiled it always was. " Ripplesheen I have seen some juniper berries and colt's foot by the river. I thought you might want to know just in case" she murmureds, her eyes flicked to the roof of the den.

Ripplesheen shook her head. "I won't always be able to do my job! StarClan forbid that I could actually get some free time!" she purred in a fake annoyed tone. "And you being too busy? I doubt that, you like to laze around, Torchtrouble!" She flicked him in the nose with her tail.
--
She was engrossed in her storytelling with Torchtrouble that she didn't hear the sound of her leader's pawsteps on the soft grass by her den. Her fur stood on end when her leader spoke, startling her. "O-oh! Duskstar! I didn't see you there!" she said, flustered. "Chamomile? Yes, I have some. Just wait for a moment and I'll get you some." She disappeared into her den, muttering about herb locations. She returned a few minutes later with five chamomile leaves in her mouth. She dropped them at Duskstar's paws and resumed her position by Torchtrouble.
"Thank you for informing me of the herbs by the river, Duskstar. I haven't been there to check them for a while." she said politely, sapphire orbs showing gratefulness. Her tone became more formal; it always did around Duskstar. The leader carried herself with a commanding grace that amazed Ripplesheen every time she saw her. "Why don't you sit with us for a while and relax?" she inquired, tilting her head and flicking her ear.
